     Black Friday has evolved into a shopping frenzy, with everyone looking for those unbelievable deals. However, the history of Black Friday is very surprising.  According to Time.com, the term ‘Black Friday’ was originally used to describe the September 24, 1864 stock market panic set off by plunging gold prices. The term then used by Philadelphia newspapers in 1960 to describe the rush of crowds at all of the retail stores. The term was justified when it was said that ‘Black Friday’ represented the black ink on accounting sheets that signified retailers making a profit. Since 2002, Black Friday has been the season’s biggest shopping day each year except for 2004 (according to market-research firm ShopperTrak).
